Serve this up with some rice and you are set for the night. Check out the…

How to make Vegan Banana Blueberry Bread – Gluten Free
So I was really craving banana bread the other day and had some really ripe bananas to use up so I set about finding a good Vegan Gluten Free Banana Bread and stumbled across a recipe that also mixed blueberries in it….which I also had on hand and needed to use up haha so win/win. 😀 I thought, what a perfect recipe because instead of adding processed sugar like you might normally in other banana bread recipes, the sweetness from the bananas and blueberries makes this super moist, delicious bread a must! To top it off it has slivered almonds across the top which once they’re roasted in the…

Pumpkin Tahini Pasta | Gluten Free Aussie Vegan
Welcome to Gluten Free Aussie Vegan. I was watching one of my latest favourite channels on youtube – Healthy Crazy Cool. Miles is always cooking up so many tasty, unique dishes and I’ve tried quite a few already and always love them. This pumpkin, tahini pasta dish is the latest. I pretty much followed the same recipe as him except I added in some chopped onion and broccoli. That’s the beauty of pasta dishes I think…as long as you get the base sauce right, you can add in whatever your favourite vegetables are or whatever is in season. If you’re craving something creamy and slightly tangy…then give this a…

Tuscan TVP Meatballs
Today on Gluten Free Aussie Vegan I’m going to share with you a recipe for ‘meatballs’. What is the main ingredient that I am going to be using? It’s Textured Vegetable Protein aka TVP. TVP is where the protein has been extracted from soybeans and it looks like dried flakes which when you add liquid to them they readily absorb the liquid and swell to resemble and taste like something similar to ground beef. I discovered this a few months ago and have loved experimenting with it. TVP itself doesn’t have a strong flavour in my opinion. So what I love most about TVP compared to other ‘minced beef’ alternatives…

Trying out the Beyond Meat – Beast Burger | Gluten Free Aussie Vegan
Welcome to Gluten Free Aussie Vegan. Today instead of sharing a recipe I’m going to show and do a little review of what I ate a few nights ago. I’ve seen all over youtube, American Vegans have been loving the range of burger patties from Beyond Meat, those being The Beast Burger and The Beyond Burger. They also have a range of sausages too. Now out here in Australia we haven’t got anywhere near the amount of variety of faux meat alternatives as you will get in UK and USA, at least not where I live but I think it’s slowly starting to catch up. If you’re gluten free…

Rhubarb and Apple Cobbler | Gluten Free Aussie Vegan
Well we’re right in the thick of winter now. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth in the summer but in the colder weather, here in the Gluten Free Aussie Vegan kitchen I start craving puddings, crumbles, cobblers, pies and all that yummy goodness. So I decided to turn my hand at making a rhubarb and apple cobbler. When I made the Peach Cobbler a little while back, I used a cake packet mix but I didn’t have any on hand this time around so decided to make from scratch. I looked around at a few recipes for inspiration and couldn’t quite find one that was perfect for…

Vegan Millet ‘Meat’ Loaf – Gluten Free
Tonight in the Gluten Free Aussie Vegan kitchen I was craving some meat loaf….well, not actual meat but the flavour of loaf and a few months back when I was looking up recipes for using Millet (my new favourite grain) I came across a recipe for a vegan Millet loaf. WELL, tonight was the night to try it out and I was most definitely not disappointed. I made a couple of tweaks from the original recipe I found and I may add future tweaks when I make it again but they will be minor cos THIS was so delicious. The texture of this Millet Loaf isn’t as firm as what…
