    Creamy Mushroom Broccoli Pasta

So there’s been a creamy pasta dish that I’ve been making for awhile that I hadn’t got around to sharing on my site….not sure why but I think it’s high time I did. I tried out Red Lentil pasta some months ago and maybe you would or wouldn’t think there’d be a huge difference in taste but to me, I LOVED it even more so than corn pasta or other common gluten free pasta. So if you can get access to it, try it. I got mine from Woolworths in the San Remo brand but I think there’re other brands around. If you can only find normal gluten free pasta,…

    Mushroom Lentil Stew

I love when you can feel the seasons click….and change. The last couple of weeks where I live the weather has started to cool down and has made me start to crave warm, comforting foods. I had a bunch of Portabello Mushrooms sitting in the fridge and I was trying to think what I wanted to do with them. I’ve been eating a lot of rice dishes risotto style lately…so I wanted a change from that. I’ve also made crumbed mushrooms but that requires a lot of oil and I wanted to make something that was just healthy and wholesome. Enter the Mushroom Lentil stew. This recipe did NOT disappoint.…

    Vegan Potato Curry

So one thing I’ve discovered since going vegan 3 years ago….and that is how much I love curry. I didn’t realise just how much until I went to go edit this a few months back and saw how many curry recipes I’ve already shared so far like Mango Tempeh Chickpea Curry, Broccoli and Pea Korma & Rogan Josh. So I decided to space them out a bit more. I didn’t want it be overkill…even if they are all totally tasty. But I think now that we’re halfway through Autumn and the weather is starting to cool down, it’s perfect timing to share something warm and tasty. You will love this…

    Chickpea Meatballs

So in the past when I’ve had a hankering for an Italian style gluten free, Vegan dish I’ve made Lentil Bolognese. I’ve also made Spaghetti Bolognese using TVP as the ‘beef mince’ substitute and I always really enjoy it. But I also sometimes crave some meatballs in a tomato based sauce. I’ve already done a meatball recipe before using TVP and it was delicious. Check out the recipe here if interested. For a change, I decided to test out a Chickpea based meatball recipe and lemme tell ya? This is EQUALLY as tasty meatball recipe as my TVP one…so try either depending what mood you’re in.

    Vegan Sticky Mushrooms

So I had some big mushrooms in the fridge the other day and jumped online for inspiration as I’m sure many of us do. I stumbled across this recipe for sticky apricot mushrooms and was immediately intrigued by the thought of orange and apricot paired with mushrooms, I wasn’t sure if that combo would work but I was definitely salivating over the picture. So I thought I would try out the recipe and share it with you my gluten free vegan friends. I also had some asparagus in the fridge so I roasted them along with it and also made Mexican Elote street corn and rice. I quite enjoyed it,…

    Mango Tempeh & Chickpea Curry

So I’ve started to notice a recurring trend with my taste buds. I seem to love to cook a lot of curries. One day I was looking through my footage and pics and noticed I had 3 different curry recipes to edit and upload and thought hmmmm ok overkill I need to space out when I share these haha. What can I say, curries are delicious and it’s amazing how many types can be made. So far, I’ve already shared how to make Broccoli & Pea Korma and also Rogan Josh. I’ve also got a Potato curry recipe waiting in the wings to be edited. But TODAY our gluten free…

Hungarian Potato Pasta aka Krumplis tészta

So I was looking around in my cupboard and fridge trying to decide what to cook tonight. I wasn’t in the mood to make anything complex but I wanted something hearty. I’m also running a little low on ingredients so wanted it simple. Then I remembered a little while back I saw a recipe for Hungarian Potato Pasta that looked intriguing. I’d never made it, but it sounded simple and tasty. So I made it tonight and I was right it was and is tasty. This is quick, easy and budget friendly when you’ve just got a few staple ingredients floating around. So here it is a Hungarian Potato Pasta…

    Vegan Broccoli & Pea Korma

Welcome to Gluten Free Aussie Vegan. Are you in the mood for a Vegan Korma that has just the right amount of spice and that is also really creamy? Well this yummy recipe is for you. It has such a wonderful variety of veggies in it but the sauce oh my goodness the sauce is what really brings this dish to life. I have to admit that this recipe was inspired by a dish done by the Happy Pear. I had to try it out and I’m happy to report…we’re onto a winner. Serve this up with some rice and you are set for the night. Check out the…

Pumpkin Tahini Pasta | Gluten Free Aussie Vegan

Welcome to Gluten Free Aussie Vegan. I was watching one of my latest favourite channels on youtube – Healthy Crazy Cool. Miles is always cooking up so many tasty, unique dishes and I’ve tried quite a few already and always love them. This pumpkin, tahini pasta dish is the latest. I pretty much followed the same recipe as him except I added in some chopped onion and broccoli. That’s the beauty of pasta dishes I think…as long as you get the base sauce right, you can add in whatever your favourite vegetables are or whatever is in season. If you’re craving something creamy and slightly tangy…then give this a…
