Mango Tempeh & Chickpea Curry
So I’ve started to notice a recurring trend with my taste buds. I seem to love to cook a lot of curries. One day I was looking through my footage and pics and noticed I had 3 different curry recipes to edit and upload and thought hmmmm ok overkill I need to space out when I share these haha. What can I say, curries are delicious and it’s amazing how many types can be made. So far, I’ve already shared how to make Broccoli & Pea Korma and also Rogan Josh. I’ve also got a Potato curry recipe waiting in the wings to be edited. But TODAY our gluten free…

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Cookies |Gluten Free Aussie Vegan
Now I have to admit, I don’t really have much of a sweet tooth. I crave savoury food more. So you’re likely to see more savoury recipes here in the Gluten Free Vegan kitchen. Having said that, every now and then I’ll randomly get a craving and have to satisfy it. That happened the other day when I was making some lentil pancakes with lentil flour. While the pancakes were cooking I happened to glance on the back of the package and saw a recipe for Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies using Lentil Flour and Almond meal instead of normal flour and I was intrigued. I had to adapt the…

Magnum rumoured to be releasing a Vegan Ice-cream in Australia!
Well, the Australian release of Vegan Magnum has been hinted at for a little while now. Promotional material has recently been spotted online hinting at its release in Australia around 28th January 2019 and I’m excited and hope the rumours are true!! The brand launched the Vegan range in the UK last year in 2018 in Tesco Stores and previous to that in Finland and Sweden. The ice cream is made from pea protein and non-dairy chocolate instead of dairy milk. If Australia is to follow a similar suit, then we can expect to see 2 varieties of Vegan Magnum offered, that being Vegan Classic and Dairy Free Almond. It…

Roasted Red Capsicum Hummus Dip
This gluten free and vegan roasted Red Capsicum Hummus dip is so easy and tasty to make you’ll wonder why you ever bothered with store bought. 🙂 The roasted Red Capsicums just give it that nice bit of extra caramelised flavour. When I made mine the other day I only did half the recipe and it STILL made a decent amount. As you can see above I made some roasted potato wedges to dip into it. This hummus dip will go perfectly with other things like crackers, chips, carrot sticks, celery to dip into it. Recipe:

Vegan Mushroom Puff Pastry Parcels
HAPPY NEW YEAR and welcome to Gluten Free Aussie Vegan. So I bought all the ingredients to make a Mushroom Wellington at Christmas. I’ve made it as my main for the past 2 years in a row and always love it, but THEN I noticed Woolworths released a Vegan Gluten Free Plant Based Loaf and I got excited and bought that too, keen to try it out. I thought I would make both….but well given I’m the only Vegan in my family, I was the only one eating the loaf. It took me a few days to get through it all and…with all the hustle and bustle through Christmas with…

Christmas Pudding – Vegan & Gluten Free
My family (parents and siblings) unfortunately are not Vegan but ever since I was diagnosed as a Coeliac back in 2009, Mum would sometimes cook me a Gluten Free Christmas pudding and in the last 3 years has made it Vegan. Even though the rest of my family isn’t vegan, even they love it. She always wanted to make it as close to the flavour of the pudding HER own Mother and Grandmother made during her childhood and even though this recipe is quite different with the shredded carrot, potato & apple, she agrees that this brings her back to her childhood everytime she eats it. This can be made…
